I'm sitting in my beautiful office at Chris's house, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island, with summer temperatures that make me want to get out there for a nice, long dog walk. (Chris likes my office more than his own, so he often comes up to visit or work with me on things.)
In this issue:
1) Did You Take Your Heart With You On Your Last Date?
2) Audio of Thursday's Call Is Now Ready
3) A Special Thanks To A Dear Friend
4) Love Triangle and Attracting Mr. Right
1) Did You Take Your Heart With You On Your Last Date?
He's picked you up for your first date... (Before he arrived, you tried on different outfits, hoping to create just the right level of attractiveness with a smidgeon of allure.) ... He seems distracted as he drives you to the restaurant (you don't realize he needs to focus on his driving) and you're worried that maybe you picked the wrong outfit.
Dinner seems to be going fairly well, but there are so many "inner" distractions: you're wondering if he likes you; your "Inner Bride" is trying on wedding gowns; you can't stop noticing that long hair peaking out the top of his ear; and you're not sure, but he seems to be talking to your breasts quite a bit.
Does this sound familiar? Of course, it does, because we've all been there, to one degree or another. The one thing – and in my opinion – the most important thing that never entered this picture is your heart. Where the heck is your heart in all this?
Paige and I call ourselves The Heart Specialists™ because the heart is the primary missing ingredient in people's ability to create, sustain and enjoy good relationships. Most people have some level of what we call, Emotional Plaque™. If your ability to be present with someone, to put yourself in their shoes, and to want to make them feel comfortable is lacking, or if you simply don't think to open your heart to the other person, it's going to be pretty much a fluke if you do end up in a relationship, or even a second date. And even if you do, it won't be nearly as satisfying to you as a relationship that's heart-centered.
Ridding yourself of Emotional Plaque can be done but attempting to do it on your own is almost impossible for most people. So I'm not going to ask you to do that. Instead, just try this: During this next week – as often as you can remember – imagine your heart's loving energy traveling to someone else's heart and that the love you're sending them is for their highest and best good. It can be in the middle of a business meeting, at the store, with a family member... it doesn't matter. This is about you training yourself to "lead with your heart" so you can attract more love into your life. I'm not saying you don't have to do the inner work to clear the path for love, but this is a great place to start. And please, if you would, write to me and tell me about your experience with this exercise.
2) Audio of Thursday's Call Is Now Ready
As you know, last Thursday evening Paige and I hosted a *free* teleseminar. One woman, Melinda, asked a great question, that I will talk about in next week's newsletter: When it is okay to bring up the conversation about "where is this thing going?" Thank you Melinda. I hope that others of you will feel comfortable enough to also ask questions like Melinda in future teleseminars and teleclasses. Comments from your own experiences are welcome and helpful to others. The more interaction and sharing, the better.
Here's the Audio
The audio is now available for all of you who couldn't be on the call. It's linked below. When you get to that page, which summarized our Valentine's Day Special Offer, it's the first item under the heading, "Here's How Easy It Is" right here
3) A Special Thanks To A Dear Friend
The audio from last Thusday's teleseminar had a technical glitch that almost got in the way of your being able to download and hear it. But, thankfully, my dear friend and associate, Blue Melnick, came to my rescue and, just like Superman, fixed it in no time flat. Since his company provides a unique and valuable service to businesses dependent on the web, I wanted to give any of you with web businesses the opportunity to learn about how web businesses can protect themselves from far worse technology disasters than mine.
You can learn all about it here
Thank you, Blue, for being my hero.
4) Love Triangle and Attracting Mr. Right
I've mentioned The Love Triangle™ in past issues and thought I'd talk about the magic required to attract Mr. Right. You can read every book and take every course on how to date, and still not know how to attract your ideal man. That's because, from my years of working with men and women, none of those talk about energy... at least not in a way that will make a difference for you.
One leg of everyone's Love Triangle is Awareness and the other is Intention. My newsletters and articles have helped you expand your awareness and refine your intentions. That's a start... And you can't stop working on these two aspects of the Love Triangle if you hope to have the kind of relationship you want.
But, if you want an immediate shift to occur, you need to also work on your Energy, the third leg of your Love Triangle, right now. Sit quietly, when you will not be interrupted... Then, take a few deep breaths, close your eyes, and relax. Now, go back through your memories of all the times you've been happiest. Start when you were a little girl. Do you have a memory of a special birthday party? Christmas? What happy memories do you have from high school... college... being in love, being married, giving birth. Abraham Maslow talks about peak experiences; those times when time stood still, you were in the moment, and everything was perfect. Add those type of memories as well.
As you go through your strongest memories, bring those feelings you experienced then, into your body now. Inhale all those wonderful past memories and enjoy in this moment how good you feel. If someone took a photo of your aura (and there are cameras that can record your energy at any given moment with Kirlian photograpy), it would be larger and brighter than before you started this exercise. Paige and I talk about this in our course, Let The Real You Shine Through. We call it your Glow Flow™. When you can take those past good feelings with you everywhere you go, you will be glowing more brightly and the people around you will want to bask in your energy. And guess what, men will be drawn to you like a moth to a flame.
Try it and notice how people respond to you. I think you'll be surprised how well this works. And you get to, once again, enjoy all your best memories.
With much love,

Kara Oh
